Putting it to Practice the Aha Moment

As I went through the pages of the book I was able to spot my fixed mindset thinking. The book speaks of Giving names to our fixed mindsets and being conscious of the moment they kick in. I named one of mine as 0 or 1. In other words I would do a task in just one way if not NO. To give an example I loved going for the morning walks only at 5 30 AM. If it's not 5 .30 AM its never, even if I had all the time on hand. A classic Fixed Mindset. This was my Aha Moment. The Growth Mindset thinking helped me realise its not about the walk it's about staying healthy. This little shift in mindset has allowed me to increase my conversation ratio of daily walks. I have now identified a few more Fixed Mindset traits and am able to recognise them as they kick in and put them to rest. The triggers that kept my productivity low ! are gone. I can now catch these triggers (Aka Fixed Mindset thinking), nip them and focus on the tasks on hand.

What I though was Growth Mindset

the difference between successful and unsuccessful people was my understanding of the Mindset. Infact it was this image that came to my mind when the speaker questioned us Are you all aware of the fixed vs Growth Mindset !
